Bircher Muesli
Bircher muesli is a great way to start the
day, full of complex carbohydrates to slowly
release energy through-out the and free from
sugar, salt, gluten, wheat and dairy. There
are many variations of Bircher Muesli so experiment
with different fruits grains and juices.
Prep Time: 12 mins
This will make a batch that can be stored
in an air proof container. (1500g)
Ingredients;
* organic ingredients are preferable wherever
possible
750g whole rolled oats
50g of whole almonds
100g of sultanas
50g of chopped dried apricots
50g of sunflower seeds
100g of chopped hazelnuts
200g of sugar and salt free
Ingredients to serve
Apple Juice 1 apple (sliced into match sticks)Blueberries
Bio Yoghurt
Method
1.Mix all of the dry ingredients together
Place the mix into an airtight container and
use as needed.
2.To make a bowl of Bircher Muesli , pour
the ready made mix into a cereal bowl, cover
with apple juice (as you would milk upon cereal)
and place in the fridge to soak over night
3.Come the morning serve with freshly sliced
apple, a sprinkling of blueberries and a generous
dollop of fresh bio active yoghurt
